4 weeks old - Black patch female

The patch female thought stacking was a ton of fun! She really likes cream cheese. We should have let her go first to teach the other pups how to do it!

4 weeks old - Black female

Black female (Dolores) only wanted to stack in one direction tonight. But all in all, not bad for her first time! And how can you get mad at a face this cute anyways? :-)

4 weeks old - Liver male

Liver boy was a rockstar with the stacking game. He thinks cream cheese is pretty good stuff! He's a big hunk of boy and kind-of a dork. :-)

4 weeks old - Liver female

Liver female - She did well for the first few shots and then said 'Forget it - I'm done and outta here. :-)

Mug shots at 3 wks

3 wks old!

Late getting these posted, but here they are! Cute little pups - just starting to get up and around. They are doing really well with potty training. They try very hard to get to the newspaper to relieve themselves. They are all very alert and are starting to play with their toys now too.

Pictures - 10 days

Here's the group! LF, BF1, LM, BF2

Spots are starting to show through the hair now - pups are fat and sassy!

Here's LM and BF2 at the milk bar. :-)

Here's LM's face - you can see the pigment coming in and filling up his eye rims and nose.

And here is BF1. She started out as the smallest pup but she's right in there with the rest now!

Babies are 5 days old!

Liver Male

Black Female #2

Black Female #1 and Liver Female

Here's some more pictures of the pups. They are growing well - ranging between 20-27 oz. The liver girl is the piggy of the litter, and the first born black female is the smallest. Just happen to have some shots of them together too!

Pigment is coming in nicely and the spots are starting to show thru the hair - especially on their sides and bellies. Their eyes should start opening in about another 5-7 days and their world will suddenly become quite a bit more interesting! For now, it's all about the milk bar and the naps. :-)

Daphne x Angus pups are here!

She had 4 puppies as predicted on the xray.  1 liver female, 2 black females, and 1 liver boy.  All weighed between 9-13.25 oz.  They are all doing very well, nursing and napping, and Daphne is a calm and wonderful mom.  She really doesn't want to leave her pups even for potty breaks!  But she gets the job done lickity-split, slurps down water, and is back at her mom duty.

Today they all took a quick trip to the vet to have Daphne palpated (making sure no more pups were in there) and the vet looked over the pups and checked their umbilical cords.  Tomorrow the pups will go back to have their dewclaws removed - that's the 5th inner front leg toenail that really serves no purpose and tends to end up getting caught up and torn a lot in older dogs.  We take it off to prevent them from getting it caught on something and ripped off as an adult, to cut down nail trimming duties (by 2), and make the leg have a cleaner look for those entering the show ring.

Tonight's goal is to pick up a few more hours of sleep!  Yawn!  :-)

Puppies are on the way!!!!

We're EXCITED!!!!!!

We have puppies on the way! We bred Champion Tramac Jump Wiggle'n Squeak, "Daphne" who is Tanner & Bindi's sister to Champion Prince Harts, "Angus".
Both Daphne and Angus have the sweetest temperaments, although Daphne can be a bit of a princess! Both are healthy to date with no allergies. Angus is the sire of many, many Champions.
Both Daphne and Angus are BAER bilateral hearing and OFA Good. Angus is liver factored so we should have some "brownies" too! I recently saw Angus at a specialty show in OH, he is 13 years old and looks great! Eyes as shiny and clear as a 3 year old! Mocha (Daphne's Mom) is 13 too and still doing well. Hopefully, both will around for a long time!!! It's a very good thing to have long lived genes!

The puppies are due around October 22nd. Jennifer will get Daphne from her owner about 2 weeks before the pups are due and will have the litter at he house. We will keep this blog page up to date with photos and information.
